A ceremony was held on April 20 in Mongkhok, Shan State (East), to welcome back Tatmadaw members who had been serving on the frontlines in Muse Township, Shan State (North). The event recognized the soldiers’ duties and their return after completing their deployment.
Brigadier General Kyaw Naing Soe, Deputy Commander of the Triangle Region Command, along with officials from relevant departments, Myanmar Police Force representatives, war veterans, and local ethnic community members participated in the welcoming event. The returnees were greeted with traditional sprigs of Eugenia and were awarded cash prizes in appreciation of their service.
The ceremony also featured cultural elements, including traditional dance and music performances, as a part of the celebration. Following the official proceedings, the Deputy Commander and accompanying officials shared a meal with the returning Tatmadaw members.
The event underscores ongoing military activities in Shan State and highlights the Tatmadaw’s engagement with local communities in the region.
