Fulham advanced to the third round of the Carabao Cup with a 3-0 victory over AFC Wimbledon at Craven Cottage on Wednesday. The Premier League side secured the win through two first-half goals by Emile Smith Rowe and Rodrigo Muniz, followed by a late strike from Gonzalo Garcia during injury time.

Fulham made significant changes to their lineup, fielding 10 different players compared to their recent Premier League match against Chelsea. Wimbledon also rotated heavily, making eight alterations. Despite early pressure from the League Two team, Fulham’s superior quality became evident as the match progressed.

Smith Rowe broke the deadlock eight minutes before halftime after winning a challenge inside the penalty area, giving Fulham the lead. Shortly afterwards, Muniz extended the advantage with a header from a cross delivered by Kenny Tete. The visitors created a handful of chances but were unable to convert.

Gonzalo Garcia sealed the victory with a late goal during injury time, ensuring a comfortable win for Fulham. With this result, Fulham will face West Ham United in the third round of the competition.
