Tickets for the highly anticipated heavyweight boxing match between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua sold out within an hour of going on sale on October 9, according to British reports. The fight, set to take place at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, has drawn significant attention and is being promoted as one of the biggest events in British boxing history.

Approximately 80,000 tickets were made available at midday, with prices ranging from £88.50 ($150) to £13,128 including booking fees. Demand was intense, with more than 500,000 fans reportedly lining up online shortly after sales opened, resulting in a rapid sellout.

The clash between the two former world heavyweight champions is scheduled for December 11, although the ring walks are expected to take place around 1 a.m. on December 12. An application filed with Cardiff City Council indicates that the stadium will remain open until 3:30 a.m. that morning to accommodate the event’s late finish.

The bout will be streamed globally on Netflix, a deal underscoring the fight’s widespread appeal. Initial plans floated by Saudi investor Turki Alalshikh considered staging the match at Madison Square Garden in New York, but it was ultimately confirmed for Cardiff.

This event marks the first time Fury and Joshua will face each other in the ring, concluding years of speculation and anticipation surrounding a potential showdown between the two British heavyweights.
