A terraced house in Barry, South Wales, famously featured as the home of Uncle Bryn in the television series "Gavin & Stacey," has been purchased by two fans with plans to convert it into a holiday rental. The property, located on Trinity Street and originally listed for £210,000, was acquired by Jaxx Nelson and Tom Bodfish.

The new owners intend to transform the house into an Airbnb, branding it "Gone Fishin’" in homage to a well-known fishing trip involving Bryn, a character portrayed by Rob Brydon. Nelson has expressed a desire to create an immersive experience that captures the essence of the show while maintaining the practical appeal of a seaside holiday accommodation. She stated that the goal is to offer guests a stay that feels like stepping into the world of "Gavin & Stacey" without sacrificing comfort or ambience.

This development follows a similar purchase by another fan, Lisa Molloy, who acquired the home of Doris O’Neill, another character from the series, also situated on the same street. Both properties have attracted attention from enthusiasts looking to engage more closely with the show's setting.

The conversions have drawn interest from the show's fan community, who may soon have the opportunity to stay in these iconic locations. Nelson plans to document the renovation process leading up to the rental’s launch, providing fans with insight into how the house will be prepared for visitors.

Barry, a seaside town in South Wales, has previously seen increased tourism linked to the series, and these latest initiatives contribute to an ongoing trend of fans seeking real-world connections to beloved television settings.
