Sheikh Mubarak Fahad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Director General of the Gulf Cooperation Council’s Joint Program Production Institution (JPPI), highlighted the importance of enhanced media partnerships among Gulf states during the 24th Arab Media Summit held in Dubai on Wednesday.

Speaking on the sidelines of the summit, Sheikh Mubarak emphasized that boosting collaboration across Gulf media institutions reflects the region’s commitment to integration and collective action. He noted that such efforts support the development of the content industry and broaden the scope of media cooperation within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.

During the event, Sheikh Mubarak held meetings with several key regional media figures, including Abdullah Al-Hamed, Chairman of the UAE National Media Authority, and Bahrain’s Minister of Information, Dr. Ramzan Al-Nuaimi. These discussions focused on deepening ties and exploring avenues to expand joint media initiatives.

Sheikh Mubarak also met with Sheikh Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani, CEO of the Qatar Media Corporation, to discuss strategies for strengthening joint program production. According to a JPPI statement, the talks reviewed the institution’s current projects, upcoming plans, and ways to enhance media capabilities and expertise to promote Gulf-produced content across the region. The meeting underscored efforts to improve cooperation and coordination among Gulf media organizations through combined production efforts.

The Arab Media Summit 2026, hosted under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, convened leading officials, media executives, and industry experts from the Arab world and beyond to discuss the future direction of media and content creation.

Sheikh Mubarak’s participation reflects JPPI’s ongoing commitment to maintaining an active presence in key regional media forums. By leveraging such platforms, the institution aims to facilitate dialogue among leaders and specialists to stimulate growth and innovation within the regional media landscape.

The event also took place under guidance from Sheikh Ahmad Al-Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, further highlighting the UAE’s role in fostering media collaboration across the Arab world.
