Chinese automaker Geely Auto expanded its presence in the Spanish market with the launch of its new electric vehicle, the Geely E2, in Madrid on Wednesday. This marks the introduction of the company’s third model in Spain since its initial market entry earlier this year.
The unveiling event took place at Madrid’s Teatro Capitol and was attended by Geely representatives, dealers, partners, and members of the media. The new vehicle joins the Starray EM-i and the Geely E5, which were both introduced in March when the company first entered the Spanish market.
Li Lei, managing director of Geely Auto Spain, described the launch of the E2 as a significant development in the company’s strategic efforts in Spain. He noted that Geely aims to broaden access to electric mobility for a wider range of consumers, reflecting the company’s commitment to expanding its electric vehicle offerings in the country.
This recent expansion underscores Geely’s ambition to strengthen its foothold in the European market by catering to growing demand for electric vehicles as the industry shifts toward sustainable transportation solutions.
