KUWAIT CITY — The General Administration of Customs (GAC) reported that a public auction held on June 9 in Sulaibiya generated revenues totaling 109,100 Kuwaiti dinars (KD). The auction included a diverse range of confiscated goods such as 2,625 cartons of cigarettes, 230 boxes of shisha tobacco, and multiple shipping containers carrying various items.

Among the auctioned merchandise were containers holding paper cups and plastic lids, nails, porcelain tiles, and wood. The GAC stated that proceeds from the sale will support the enhancement of state revenues in line with its broader strategic objectives.

This auction is part of the Customs Administration’s ongoing efforts to manage seized goods and contribute to governmental income through public sales. The GAC’s announcement highlights the role such activities play in Kuwait’s fiscal framework.
