The General Tax Authority marked the graduation of the inaugural cohort of its ‘Promising Leaders’ programme, an initiative designed to cultivate national leadership talent equipped to meet the evolving demands of institutional work. The ceremony was held in the presence of Khalifa bin Jassim Al Jaham Al Kuwari, President of the Authority.
Spanning two months, the programme aimed to enhance participants’ leadership capabilities to improve overall performance and support the Authority’s strategic objectives. The curriculum encompassed a broad array of contemporary leadership and management topics, including strategic leadership, change management, decision-making, crisis management, and institutional performance enhancement. It also addressed leadership challenges in the context of artificial intelligence, alongside essential skills such as influence, negotiation, and team management.
Interactive sessions with senior executive leaders were integrated into the training, offering participants direct insight into the Authority’s strategic vision and facilitating professional growth through dialogue and exchange. Additionally, participants collaborated in specialised teams to design and implement practical projects targeting real-world workplace challenges and development opportunities. These projects were presented at the programme’s conclusion, illustrating the application of the skills and knowledge gained.
The ‘Promising Leaders’ programme underscores the General Tax Authority’s dedication to investing in human capital development by nurturing qualified national leaders prepared to navigate change and contribute to sustained institutional excellence.
