Bangkok-based fashion label Gentlewoman is set to open its first store in Singapore this October, located at 313@somerset. Established in 2018 by Raya Wunampinyo, Siripa Rueangwittasukchai, and Jitpon Siriwattananathangkul, the brand has grown into a prominent name within Southeast Asia’s contemporary fashion scene.
Although this will be Gentlewoman’s initial physical retail presence in Singapore, the brand has already gained recognition among local consumers, notably through its popular tote bags featuring the “Gentlewoman” logo. These bags have become a familiar accessory across the city, helping the label cultivate a following prior to the store launch.
Gentlewoman’s product range extends beyond its signature bags to include casualwear, activewear, swimwear, and accessories. Initially focused on workwear, the brand has since expanded its offerings into versatile collections designed to suit various aspects of everyday life. Its designs emphasize bold details, functionality, and adaptable silhouettes, reflecting the label’s commitment to individuality and self-expression.
The new Singapore boutique will showcase several collections, including Dormitory Darlings, a collaborative line created with Thai actress and style icon Chompoo Araya. This collection draws inspiration from girlhood and local living, incorporating playful elements and effortless shapes that reflect personal style influenced by people and everyday moments. Other featured collections include Echoes of Refinement, which highlights modern elegance and clean tailoring, and Theory of the Wind, characterized by fluid outlines, lightweight fabrics, and flowing fringe that move with the wearer.
In a statement, the brand described the opening as a milestone in deepening its connection with the growing Singaporean community. Gentlewoman plans to introduce further collaborations and a distinctive in-store retail experience as part of its expansion in the city. Co-founder Raya Wunampinyo expressed optimism about the brand’s regional growth, emphasizing the goal of maintaining a unique identity while resonating across diverse cultures and communities in Southeast Asia.
