The Gulf Football Federation (GFF) has introduced a new digital ticketing system for the upcoming 27th Gulf Cup, set to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from September 23 to October 6. The system, powered by SafeTix technology, aims to enhance security and improve the fan experience during the tournament.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the GFF outlined key features of the ticketing platform, developed in collaboration with the local organizing committee. Fans will be able to purchase, manage, and transfer tickets directly through their mobile devices. The technology employs a dynamic barcode that refreshes automatically, providing robust protection against counterfeit tickets and unauthorized sharing, including the prevention of misuse via screenshots. Additionally, ticket holders will be able to access stadium gates without requiring an Internet connection, ensuring smooth entry even in low connectivity areas.

Supporters can book up to six tickets per match and select which games to attend during both the group stage and knockout rounds. Tickets are available through the GFF’s official website and the dedicated GFF Tickets mobile application. The platform also supports integration with digital wallets, offering a fully digitalized experience from purchase to stadium entry.

The 27th Gulf Cup will feature eight national teams from the Gulf region competing in a total of 15 matches. Games will be hosted across two venues in Jeddah: King Abdullah Sports City and Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City. The federation’s move towards digital ticketing reflects a broader push to adopt modern technologies aimed at facilitating fan engagement and event management.
