A 60-foot animatronic robot formerly featured in a Take That tour has been left abandoned near the former residence of singer Robbie Williams in the Wiltshire village of Compton Bassett. The mechanical figure, nicknamed Om, was originally part of the band’s £15 million 2011 stage production and has since become a notable landmark at the site.

The large robotic structure has drawn attention from local residents and walkers, with some describing it as unsettling. One local, Sarah Spencer, said she was taken by surprise upon first seeing the figure, initially mistaking it for the Wicker Man. Another neighbor, Liz Neve, commented on its sudden appearance and disappearance amid the surrounding greenery, noting how it seems to peer out before retreating back into the foliage.

Robbie Williams reportedly brought Om to his old property after the tour concluded, where it now remains in a state that has delighted some onlookers while unnerving others. The presence of the abandoned robot adds an unusual and unexpected element to the quiet village landscape.
