WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. — New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart expressed enthusiasm about working with wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., who is returning to the team after missing the entire 2025 season. Dart shared his thoughts following the Giants’ first training camp practice at The Greenbrier on Wednesday.

Beckham, 33, is aiming to make a comeback with the franchise where he began his NFL career more than a decade ago. Dart highlighted Beckham’s leadership qualities and his focus on supporting teammates, rather than merely individual success.

“I’m definitely excited about ‘O,’” Dart said. “You never know how somebody’s going to respond from having that time off coming back. His ability to pour into his teammates is really valuable. Beckham has had the ultimate experience of highs and lows in this league, and getting perspectives from him is huge for our team.”

Meanwhile, Giants general manager Joe Schoen, who has faced challenges after consecutive disappointing seasons in 2023 (3-14) and 2024 (4-13) and the firing of former head coach Brian Daboll, secured a multiyear contract extension reportedly spanning four years. The move came after the recent NFL draft, signaling the organization’s confidence in his leadership as they prepare for the 2026 season.

“Very thankful to the Mara and the Tisch families for the extension,” Schoen said. “Just grateful and looking forward to the season. Coach and I are going to work together to put together the best roster we can and go out and win games.”

Schoen emphasized that despite the extension, his approach remains focused on daily performance and results. “It doesn’t matter how long you have on your contract, it’s always going to be year to year. So, you just go out and do the best we can and try to put the best team on the field for 2026.”

The Giants are entering training camp with renewed optimism, hoping Beckham’s experience and leadership alongside Dart’s emerging quarterback skills can accelerate the team’s progress after recent struggles.
