Gloucester City and Havant & Waterlooville played out an entertaining 3-3 draw at Westleigh Park on Saturday, with both sides showing attacking intent in a match punctuated by six goals and multiple lead changes.

Gloucester opened the scoring against the run of play when Ethan Dunbar advanced down the left flank and delivered a precise cross that Liam Cross converted. Havant & Waterlooville responded through Paul McCallum, who finished acrobatically from close range after receiving a free-kick delivery from Leon Maloney.

Early in the second half, the hosts took the lead. McCallum’s quick thinking set up Ryan Seager, who maintained possession before sliding the ball to Maloney, who finished emphatically into the top corner. Gloucester equalized again when Joe Hanks capitalized on a rebound following a saved strike from Tom Owen-Evans, nudging the score to 2-2.

Shortly afterwards, Ashley Hemmings gave Gloucester the advantage with an expertly executed volley, striking the ball off the post and into the net. However, Havant & Waterlooville secured a share of the points deep into added time when Maloney curled a precise shot from the edge of the area into the bottom corner.

The draw reflects the competitive balance between the two sides and highlights the attacking strengths on display during the match. Both Gloucester City and Havant & Waterlooville will look to build on this performance as the season progresses.
