Excel Force MSC Bhd has announced a significant change to its leadership structure, appointing former executive director Goh Jooi Shen as managing director. The software company, which specialises in providing solutions for financial services firms such as stockbroking companies and investment banks, disclosed the development in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.
The appointment took effect last Friday, with Goh, 35, having joined the board as executive director on the same day. Goh’s professional experience includes corporate administration, financial management, strategic planning, and business operations, positioning him to lead the company’s continued growth and development.
This leadership transition also involved a reshuffling of board roles. Goh replaces 57-year-old Wong Kok Chau, who has been redesignated as executive director. At the same time, a number of independent directors resigned from their positions, prompting further adjustments to the company’s governance.
In response, accountant Teo Beng Wei, age 47, was appointed as an independent non-executive director last Friday to strengthen the board’s oversight functions.
Separately, Excel Force revealed that its co-founder and former managing director, Taiwanese businessman Wang Kuen-Chung — also known as Jeff Wang — has returned as a substantial shareholder. Wang, who stepped down and relinquished his shareholder status seven years ago, now holds a direct interest of 15.481% in the company, equivalent to 94.4 million shares, according to a Bursa Malaysia filing dated September 7.
Financially, Excel Force reported a net profit of RM5.28 million for the six months ending June 30, marking a 4.1% increase compared to the same period last year. Revenue for the half-year totalled RM29.2 million, reflecting steady business performance amid the leadership changes.
