Saxon Street is set to compete in the Cocked Hat Stakes at Goodwood on Saturday. Assistant trainer Thady Gosden expressed confidence in the colt’s prospects, noting that the trip should suit Saxon Street and that racing at Goodwood will provide valuable experience.

In Derby news, 19 horses, including Water To Wine, a 25-1 chance who was a late withdrawal from the Chester Vase, have been removed from the list of entries. Water To Wine is a Godolphin runner, and his withdrawal highlights the ongoing adjustments as the field narrows. Aidan O’Brien, who withdrew six horses, still maintains a significant presence with 10 contenders, including the ante-post favorite Benvenuto Cellini.

Remaining entries for the Derby now number 22, while 16 horses remain engaged in the Oaks. Notably, Charlie Appleby has no entries in either race at this stage.
