Whitehouse, who had won gold in the floor final earlier in the Games and contributed to England’s team silver, reflected on the outcome with sportsmanship. “It was a close final. I did think I’d got it, and I think Felix thought he had as well,” Whitehouse said. “Once you’ve done your moves, it’s over to the judges… I gave it everything, and it was so close.”
