Casey Jarvis of South Africa took a commanding early lead in the Dunhill Links Championship at St. Andrews with a bogey-free round of 7-under-par 65 on Sunday. Jarvis, who began his round on the 10th hole, started in spectacular fashion by holing out for eagle and maintained steady play throughout the day, finishing at 18-under 198 for the tournament.

Jarvis, seeking his third DP World Tour victory of the year following wins at the Kenya Open and South African Open earlier in the season, avoided any birdie putts longer than six feet. He managed his round carefully on a breezy day at the Old Course, widely regarded as the home of golf in Scotland.

Poland’s Adrian Meronk shared second place after shooting a 9-under 63 at Kingsbarns, highlighted by birdies on his first four holes and an eagle late in the round. Meronk is among 22 players in the field associated with LIV Golf. He was tied with England’s Matthew Jordan, who carded a 66, also at Kingsbarns.

Belgian golfer Thomas Detry, another player with LIV Golf ties, was three strokes behind Jarvis after a 65. The field featured a mix of established and emerging talents competing across multiple courses in this prestigious tournament, which is part of the DP World Tour.

Jarvis set the tone early on the Old Course when his wedge shot on the 10th hole landed just beyond the pin before spinning back into the cup for an eagle two. He followed that with a precise tee shot on the par-3 11th to within four feet, leading to a birdie. By the time he two-putted for birdie on the 14th hole, Jarvis had already moved to five under for the round.

The Dunhill Links Championship, played across St. Andrews, Carnoustie, and Kingsbarns, continues to draw strong international fields as it progresses toward its conclusion later this week. Jarvis’s steady and confident play positions him as a strong favorite to capture another DP World Tour title.
