Lego has expanded its Pokémon-themed collection with the release of several new sets, highlighted by an intricate model of the iconic Poké Ball. The build consists of over 2,300 pieces and offers a detailed recreation of the palm-sized device trainers use within the Pokémon series to capture and store creatures. Upon completion, the model opens to reveal a miniature scene featuring Professor Oak’s laboratory alongside a battle setup.
Included in the Poké Ball set are five exclusive minifigures: Picnicker, Red, Professor Oak, Eevee, and Pikachu. This set is priced at £229.99.
Joining the lineup is the Lego Pokémon Up-Scaled Red Minifigure, an assembly of 930 pieces that depicts the franchise’s central character, Red. The model features his signature red cap, red vest, blue trousers, and backpack, accompanied by a Poké Ball accessory and display stand. This item is available for £69.99.
Another notable addition is the Lego Pokémon Rayquaza set, which presents one of the franchise’s most recognizable creatures in brick form. The model stands over 38 centimeters tall and is designed with detailed accuracy, making it a prominent display piece. The price for this set is £199.99.
Additional new offerings include the Pokémon Arcanine set, priced at £89.99, and the Pokémon Munchlax set at £59.99.
Julia Goldin, Chief Marketing and Product Officer at the Lego Group, commented on the expansion, stating that the company is aware of the enthusiasm within the global Pokémon fan base and is encouraged by the positive response to their previous Lego Pokémon releases.
The new sets are currently available for pre-order and will be officially released in stores on August 1.
