KUWAIT CITY — Sheikh Athbi Nasser Al-Athbi Al-Sabah, Governor of Farwaniya, participated in the World Pharmacist Day celebration held at Farwaniya Hospital on Thursday, underscoring the governorate’s commitment to advancing healthcare services in the region.

The event, organized by the Farwaniya Health District, brought together senior health officials, including Dr. Ahmad Munawer Al-Saeed, Assistant Undersecretary for Pharmaceutical and Food Control Affairs at the Ministry of Health; Dr. Mohammad Al-Rashidi, Director of Farwaniya Health District; Dr. Ali Al-Mutairi, Director of Farwaniya Hospital; and Dr. Manal Al-Majawab, Head of the Pharmacy Department, alongside other medical and pharmaceutical staff.

During the celebration, speakers emphasized the critical role that pharmaceutical departments and professionals play within the broader healthcare system. Discussions focused on the importance of continued support for pharmaceutical personnel and the enhancement of pharmaceutical services to improve patient care and health outcomes.

The presence of Sheikh Athbi Nasser Al-Athbi Al-Sabah reflected the local government’s ongoing prioritization of health sector development, particularly in relation to pharmaceutical and medical services within Farwaniya Governorate.

As part of the event’s closing activities, officials from the Farwaniya Health District expressed their appreciation to the Governor for his active participation and steadfast support of the health sector. In recognition of his contributions, the Governor was presented with a commemorative plaque.

The Day’s observance aimed to raise awareness about pharmacists’ integral contributions to healthcare and emphasized collaborative efforts to strengthen services provided to the community across Kuwait.
