Indie rock musician Greg Freeman has released a new album, "All Set the Bone," following the positive reception of his 2022 debut, "Burnover." The latest record showcases a blend of sharp lyrics and dynamic rock elements, largely recorded live in the studio with his band—an approach Freeman had long aimed to achieve.

Freeman composed much of the material while living alone in New Mexico during the previous summer, using the time productively instead of waiting for touring or promotional opportunities tied to his earlier work. Initially self-released, "Burnover" garnered little attention at first but eventually gained recognition beyond Freeman’s local community in Burlington, Vermont.

Seeking a fresh start, Freeman recently relocated to Chicago, embracing the city’s vibrant underground music scene known for its tape labels, zines, and do-it-yourself bands. Although navigating the tension between maintaining indie authenticity and managing a growing profile, he intentionally keeps his performances small and intimate to foster a direct connection with his listeners.

His collaborator and producer emphasized Freeman’s commitment to integrity and principled artistry in an industry often criticized for lacking those qualities. Freeman aims to sustain an authentic exchange between artist and audience, prioritizing genuine engagement over commercial success.
