Gulf Bank has expanded its partnership with the Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST) to include sponsorship of the university’s Management Club, adding to its existing support for the Engineering Club. The expanded collaboration aims to enhance student development by providing opportunities to build leadership, management, and entrepreneurial skills.
Under the agreement, Gulf Bank will support a variety of student-led initiatives throughout the academic year, including seminars, workshops, discussions, and interactive events. These activities are designed to help students engage with business professionals, gain practical workplace insights, and develop confidence and professional connections.
Najla Aleisa, Chief Marketing Officer at Gulf Bank, emphasized the partnership’s role in preparing students for their future careers. She highlighted Gulf Bank’s long-standing commitment to supporting educational initiatives at GUST, which was recently ranked first in Kuwait by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. Aleisa remarked that student clubs are valuable platforms for teamwork and idea implementation, and expressed satisfaction in extending support to the Management Club alongside the Engineering Club.
Aleisa also framed the partnership as part of Gulf Bank’s broader sustainability and social responsibility strategy, which focuses on education, youth empowerment, innovation, and entrepreneurship. She noted that fostering practical learning experiences helps students transition into confident professionals, entrepreneurs, and leaders who contribute to both their communities and national development.
In addition to career development, Gulf Bank promotes financial literacy among young people. The bank supports the Diraya financial awareness campaign, which encourages students to develop sound financial habits and make informed decisions regarding banking products and services. Gulf Bank also offers tailored banking solutions through its red student packages, supporting students as they begin managing their finances independently.
The bank’s engagement with youth also includes a partnership of more than 20 years with INJAZ Kuwait, focusing on equipping young people with skills for employment and entrepreneurship.
Members of GUST’s Management Club welcomed the expanded partnership, noting that Gulf Bank’s involvement will enhance the student experience by expanding opportunities for interaction with industry professionals and broadening career perspectives. Established in 2013, the Management Club fosters the development of management skills through collaboration with business leaders and entrepreneurs, encouraging innovation and professional networking within the university community.
