Gulf Bank has launched a new Employee Financial Wellbeing Initiative aimed at enhancing the financial experience and support for its staff. The program was announced in Kuwait as part of the bank’s ongoing efforts to invest in its workforce and improve customer service by strengthening employee benefits.
The initiative, titled “Because You Are Part of the Gulf Bank Family, Your Benefits Are Always Greater,” offers a variety of banking advantages exclusively for Gulf Bank employees. These include account returns of up to 3.5 percent, interest-free salary advances up to 2.4 times employees’ salaries, credit cards without annual fees, and loans at a reduced interest rate of 1 percent. Additionally, the program features tailored rewards and special offers designed to help employees save more effectively.
A distinctive component of the initiative is a monthly prize draw linked to credit card spending. Employees receive an entry for every KD 10 spent locally and three entries for every KD 10 spent internationally, provided they spend a minimum of KD 100 each month. Each month, five employees will be selected to receive KD 250 prizes.
Gulf Bank described the initiative as focusing on three main pillars: savings, liquidity, and spending, providing comprehensive financial support to help employees manage their money with greater ease. The bank has also established a dedicated Employee Banking Services Team within its Human Resources Department to offer personalized assistance and quicker access to tailored banking solutions.
Hamed Al-Tamimi, Acting General Manager of Human Resources at Gulf Bank, emphasized the program’s role in the bank’s 2030 Strategy, which prioritizes human capital. He noted that the initiative is part of broader efforts to foster a supportive and sustainable work environment by aligning benefits with employees' financial needs and personal aspirations. Al-Tamimi highlighted the bank’s continuous investment in workforce development and its commitment to equality, sustainability, and inclusion.
The initiative complements other measures recently adopted by Gulf Bank, including reduced daily working hours by 30 minutes and enhanced equal employment benefits for men and women. The bank also maintains ongoing programs to empower women, youth, and people with disabilities.
Through this program, Gulf Bank aims to reinforce its reputation as the most rewarding bank in Kuwait, ensuring employees experience benefits that reflect the bank’s commitment to a supportive work culture as well as close ties to its wider community.
