Gulf Bank has reaffirmed its commitment to social inclusion and education by sponsoring a student welcome celebration at Hope School in Kuwait to mark the beginning of the new academic year. The event aimed to foster a welcoming and engaging environment for students returning to in-person learning, featuring a range of interactive educational and entertainment activities designed to build confidence and encourage participation among students with disabilities.
The celebration was held as part of Gulf Bank’s wider “Back to School and University” campaign, which integrates student engagement efforts with initiatives focused on financial literacy, financial inclusion, and community support for children and families in need. This campaign coincides with the transition back to classroom learning following a period of remote education prompted by recent geopolitical challenges in the region.
Attendees at the event included Gulf Bank representatives, Hope School’s teaching and administrative teams, students, and their parents. A notable element of the celebration was the involvement of the mascot from Gulf Bank’s “neo” children’s account, which helped to engage students through entertaining activities, contributing to a positive and inclusive start to the school year. Additionally, the Bank distributed welcome gifts to students as part of its efforts to support and encourage them in their educational pursuits.
Hope School’s leadership expressed gratitude for Gulf Bank’s ongoing partnership, emphasizing the important role that private sector support plays in enhancing student confidence, development, and social inclusion. The sponsorship aligns with Gulf Bank’s broader Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy, with a particular emphasis on social initiatives that invest in education, promote inclusion, raise financial awareness, and foster sustainable community development.
Beyond this event, Gulf Bank continues to pursue community-focused programs throughout the year. These include educational support, financial literacy promotion, empowerment of diverse social groups, and contributions toward Kuwait’s sustainable development goals. The Bank also backs national campaigns like “Let’s Be Aware” (Diraya) and sustains strategic collaborations with organizations such as INJAZ Kuwait and the Kuwait Red Crescent Society, underscoring its dedication to responsible banking and long-term social impact.
