Kuwait’s Ambassador to India, Meshal Al-Shemali, met with a delegation from Namaa Charity, affiliated with the Social Reform Society, and the Sahabat Amal volunteer team during their visit to India to carry out several humanitarian projects. The delegation included representatives from Kuwait, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia, emphasizing a collaborative Gulf initiative in addressing humanitarian needs across borders.
During the meeting, Al-Shemali highlighted the strong tradition of charitable work within Kuwaiti society and the broader Gulf region. He underscored that such humanitarian efforts not only provide essential aid but also serve as a vital means of fostering communication and solidarity among peoples. The ambassador praised the partnership between Namaa Charity and Sahabat Amal, pointing out that combining the efforts of charitable organizations with those of dedicated volunteers ensures aid effectively reaches its intended beneficiaries. He also commended the Sahabat Amal team for their active role in fieldwork and project implementation, noting that he had witnessed firsthand the positive impact of these initiatives in India.
Khaled Al-Shammari, Head of Programs and Initiatives at Namaa Charity, expressed appreciation for the warm reception by the Kuwaiti embassy and described the meeting as significant moral support for continuing humanitarian efforts. He explained that the delegation’s visit forms part of ongoing cooperation between Namaa Charity and Sahabat Amal to implement various projects aimed at improving the lives of those in need.
