Two separate shootings occurred this week in New York City’s Bronx and Manhattan boroughs, leaving two men injured and authorities searching for the suspects.

The first incident took place Thursday evening at approximately 6:20 p.m. in Harlem. A 28-year-old man reported to police that he was walking near the intersection of East 127th Street and Park Avenue when he was approached by two individuals dressed in all black. According to law enforcement officials, the assailants opened fire, striking the man in his right leg. Emergency services transported him to Harlem Hospital, where he remains in stable condition. The attackers fled the scene and have not yet been apprehended.

Several hours later, a 14-year-old boy was shot in the left foot in The Bronx. The shooting occurred around 9:40 p.m. near the Edenwald Houses housing complex. The victim was taken by emergency medical personnel to Jacobi Hospital, where he is also reported to be in stable condition. Police indicated that the shooter escaped the area and investigations are ongoing.

Authorities have not announced any arrests related to either shooting. The incidents reflect ongoing concerns about gun violence in New York City neighborhoods. Police continue to seek information from the public to aid in identifying and locating the individuals responsible for these attacks.
