Two individuals were injured in a shooting near a bar in South Los Angeles late Thursday evening, authorities reported. The Los Angeles Police Department responded to the incident at El Diamante Sports Bar on Figueroa Street shortly after 10:30 p.m.

A man and a woman sustained gunshot wounds and were transported to local hospitals, where they were listed in stable condition. The suspect fled the scene in an unidentified vehicle and remains at large.

Law enforcement officials are actively investigating the case, although the motive for the shooting has not yet been determined. At the time of the incident, patrons at the bar were reportedly gathered to watch a World Cup soccer match.
