In addition to sea transport, GWC Group has initiated land-based transportation of frozen poultry products from Barka in Oman to markets in Qatar and Kuwait. Collectively, these efforts have resulted in the company managing over 1,000 truckloads of frozen cargo across Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

The Oman operation’s general manager, Haitham al-Rawahi, underlined the technical challenges involved in handling frozen bulk vessels, particularly the need to maintain strict temperature control from port to storage and across borders. “Our teams in Oman delivered this complex operation without compromise, supported by GWC Group’s specialised assets and technical expertise,” he added.

GWC Group’s growth in regional and international markets has been substantial; the revenue generated from its international operations has tripled over the past two years. The company operates over 4 million square meters of logistics infrastructure, including more than 1,600 specialised vehicles and 20 strategic locations across the GCC. Its extensive network facilitates the movement of more than 2 million tonnes of freight annually and connects to a global freight network spanning over 120 countries through more than 550 partners worldwide.
