Erling Haaland alleged that Porto’s Pablo Rosario grabbed him inappropriately during Manchester City’s 2-0 victory over Porto in the Champions League group stage match at Estadio do Dragao on Tuesday.

The incident occurred in stoppage time after Haaland scored his second goal of the match, which secured the win for City. Haaland was fouled by Rosario, leading to a confrontation that saw the Norway striker receive a booking. Haaland told Norway’s TV2 that Rosario appeared intent on preventing him from scoring a hat-trick and indicated that video footage would show Rosario grabbing his bottom.

The match was marked by heightened tensions throughout, beginning with a contentious moment late in the first half when Porto felt aggrieved that Manchester City defender Marc Guehi escaped a red card after striking Porto's Gabri Veiga in the head while contesting a header. The decision prompted a melee involving players and officials, and the unrest continued into the half-time break.

After the interval, reports emerged of additional skirmishes and pushing in the players’ tunnel, necessitating intervention from security personnel. Some video material suggested City captain Ruben Dias placed a hand on Porto coach Francesco Farioli’s chest as both parties moved toward the tunnel.

UEFA officials, including referee Szymon Marciniak and match delegate Stephanie Ford, are reviewing reports and footage from the match to determine whether disciplinary action is warranted. Manchester City currently await any potential sanctions, which could include a fine or other penalties, related to the on-field and tunnel incidents during the game.
