The Saudi Ministry of Haj and Umrah has announced that the issuance of Umrah visas will begin on May 31, with pilgrims allowed to enter Mecca and obtain Umrah permits through the Nusuk application starting June 1. This timeline is part of the Umrah season calendar for the Islamic year 1448 AH, outlining key dates for visa issuance, contracts, and pilgrim reception to improve service efficiency.

According to a Nusuk representative, Umrah visas will be issued continuously until March 9, 2027. The final date for pilgrims to enter the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is scheduled for March 23, 2027, while the last departure date for Umrah pilgrims will be April 7, 2027. The Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs (MoARA) emphasized the importance of compliance among Umrah service providers and international agents with the official timeline and regulatory requirements.

Meanwhile, registered Haj pilgrims from Oman have already begun arriving in the holy cities of Mecca and Medina since May 14, participating in Umrah rites according to the prescribed schedule. Approximately 14,000 Omani pilgrims are expected to join nearly two million worshippers during the 2024 Haj season.

The Omani Haj Mission, organized by MERA (Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs), is actively deployed across Mecca and Medina, providing pilgrims with medical assistance, religious guidance, and logistical support throughout their stay.

This coordinated effort reflects ongoing preparations by Saudi authorities and participating countries to facilitate the arrival and accommodation of millions of pilgrims during one of the most significant annual Islamic religious events.
