French actor Olivier Martinez has obtained a temporary restraining order against his former wife, actress Halle Berry, citing allegations that she physically assaulted their 12-year-old son, Maceo. According to court documents filed by Martinez, Berry allegedly jumped on their son, placed her hands around his neck, and choked him on September 26. The documents also claim that Berry's actions caused Martinez emotional and mental distress.

The temporary order restricts Berry from coming within 100 yards of Martinez and limits her visitation with Maceo to two days during the week and every weekend until a court hearing scheduled for October 16.

Berry’s legal representatives have strongly contested the allegations, describing the filing as “entirely meritless and deliberately misleading.” They stated that there is extensive evidence, including multiple judicial rulings, demonstrating that Martinez has repeatedly violated court orders and interfered with therapeutic and educational measures deemed necessary for their son’s well-being. Berry’s team also asserted that Martinez has a documented history of erratic, possessive, and violent behavior, for which he has already faced legal sanctions.

The dispute appears to be part of ongoing legal conflicts between the former spouses regarding the welfare of their child. Additional comments from Halle Berry’s representatives have not been provided. The upcoming court hearing will address the current restrictions and allegations, with Maceo’s safety and care remaining central to the proceedings.
