Final Objective’s recent form includes a seventh-place finish in the Group 2 Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot, where he was close to the leaders. At Goodwood, he encountered trouble when short of room and finished fourth behind Agrippa. He later secured his first victory in a Thirsk maiden race, demonstrating progress. Most recently, he delivered his strongest performance in the Gimcrack Stakes at York, coming in a close second, just three-quarters of a length behind the well-regarded Arapaho Gold. All five of his starts this year have been over six furlongs, but the drop back to five furlongs on ground with some cut could suit him well.

In the fillies’ division, Ruby Wedding is considered a key contender in the Fillies’ Handicap over 1 mile 4 furlongs. Trained by Andrew Balding, the three-year-old daughter of Sea The Moon is enjoying a productive season. She recorded her first success in a Hamilton handicap race in June and followed up with a narrow defeat to a well-supported colt on the all-weather surface the next month. Returning to turf, Ruby Wedding secured a comfortable victory at Salisbury nearly a month ago. She appears to be progressing steadily and is expected to continue improving.
