A theatrical adaptation of Shakespeare’s *Hamlet*, titled *Hamlet Hail to the Thief*, has received a content warning for its inclusion of sensitive material related to death. The production, staged at London’s Barbican Theatre, runs from October 31 through January 23.

The warning highlights that the play contains scenes featuring stage blood, as well as depictions of grief, violence, and suicide. Additionally, the notice mentions the use of flashing lights, including strobe effects, smoke, haze, and the smoking of cigarettes as part of the performance.

This reimagining of the classic tragedy explores the psychological turmoil of the Prince of Denmark, including his iconic "to be or not to be" soliloquy, which reflects on the nature of suicide. The character Ophelia’s storyline also addresses her descent into madness, culminating in a scene where she drowns herself.

The production incorporates music from the 2003 album *Hail to the Thief* by the English rock band Radiohead, with frontman Thom Yorke involved in blending the band’s work with the theatrical adaptation. This musical integration adds a contemporary dimension to the Shakespearean text.

The combination of intense themes and audiovisual effects has prompted organizers to advise potential audiences of the show’s challenging content in advance.
