Hanwell Town has introduced a new third kit inspired by the cult musical The Rocky Horror Show ahead of the upcoming season. The Southern Premier South club, based in west London, unveiled the limited-edition shirt last weekend, aiming to make a bold statement both on and off the pitch.

The design collaboration originated from a connection between a club committee member and Andy Leighton, managing director of the companies involved with the image and music publishing rights for The Rocky Horror Show. This partnership resulted in a unique kit that the club hopes will appeal to both supporters and collectors.

Elsa Jones, Hanwell Town’s marketing director, reported a strong global response since the kit’s launch, with orders coming in from multiple countries. She highlighted the novelty of the partnership, noting that it is believed to be the first time a theatre production has joined forces with a football club to produce a shirt. Jones underscored the initiative’s potential to unite fans of both football and theatre.

The club expressed gratitude to the team behind the project, who spent months coordinating the launch. The marketing director added that the club is looking forward to the players embracing the theme on match days, humorously referencing a performance of the “Time Warp” dance as the squad enters the stadium.

The introduction of this Rocky Horror Show-themed kit marks an innovative approach by Hanwell Town to engage supporters and generate interest in the new season through a distinctive cultural crossover.
