Hanworth Villa advanced to the next round after a commanding 6-0 victory over Southern Combination side Pagham on Saturday. The match, held at Hanworth’s home ground, was largely decided in the first half with Villa establishing a firm lead early on.

Manager Simon Haughney’s side opened the scoring inside two minutes when Billy Nutbeam converted a cross from Brandon Barzey. The lead was quickly extended in the 10th minute by Southend loanee Nik Zlatev, who scored from the edge of the area. Zlatev doubled his tally shortly before the half-hour mark with a powerful 25-yard strike into the top corner.

Despite a solid defensive effort from Pagham goalkeeper Jordan Brown, who made several important saves including denying Zlatev a potential hat-trick from close range, Hanworth continued to dominate. Nutbeam also had a shot cleared off the goal line during the pressure-filled opening period.

On 39 minutes, Michael Harding added a fourth goal after a well-executed pass combination between Barzey and Josh Casey set him up for an 18-yard finish. Pagham’s David Crouch came close to reducing the deficit but was thwarted by Hanworth goalkeeper Tyla Dickinson. Another save from Brown kept the scoreline intact late in the first half.

In the second half, Zlatev missed a penalty on the hour mark, with Brown again denying the striker. However, Haydon Vaughan restored Villa’s commanding margin with a powerful free-kick from 25 yards shortly thereafter. Vaughan sealed the result by scoring a sixth goal in the final minute, rounding off a dominant performance by Hanworth Villa.
