A group of young hares was observed calmly feeding in a clover field near Langport, Somerset, providing a rare and peaceful sight for local wildlife enthusiasts. Photographer Robin Morrison encountered between eight and ten hares approximately 30 minutes before sunset. Unlike their usual cautious behavior, the animals appeared undisturbed by Morrison’s presence at the field’s edge, allowing him to quietly observe and photograph them as they came closer. This close encounter highlights a seasonal moment when hares can be seen more frequently in rural settings during the evening hours.
