HE Group Bhd’s subsidiary, Hexatech Engineering Sdn Bhd, has secured a subcontract valued at approximately RM124 million for electrical works at a data centre project in Johor. The contract was awarded by a foreign-owned engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) firm incorporated in Malaysia, which operates primarily in construction, civil engineering, and the offshore oil and gas sectors.

According to a filing made with Bursa Malaysia, the scope of the subcontract includes the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of main electrical works for the data centre. HE Group noted that the contract value is subject to adjustments based on any variations, additions, or omissions as stipulated in the subcontract agreement.

The award marks a significant contract win for Hexatech Engineering, a wholly-owned unit of HE Group. Further details regarding the project timeline or completion date were not disclosed.
