Hear’Say and Liberty X are set to reunite for a joint arena tour across the United Kingdom and Ireland, marking 25 years since their formation on the reality television show Popstars. The tour will revisit the early 2000s pop phenomenon, bringing together members of both groups for a series of performances celebrating their shared origins.
Hear’Say emerged victorious in the 2001 Popstars competition, with members Kym Marsh, Myleene Klass, Suzanne Shaw, Danny Foster, and Noel Sullivan gaining rapid fame. The group achieved commercial success with singles like "Pure and Simple" but disbanded in 2002. Liberty X, formed from the five finalists who did not make the winning group, consisted of Michelle Heaton, Jessica Taylor, Kelli Young, Tony Lundon, and Kevin Simm.
For the upcoming tour, all Hear’Say members will participate except Myleene Klass, who has since pursued a solo music and broadcasting career. Jessica Taylor of Liberty X described the reunion as a chance to celebrate their legacy without the pressures they faced early in their careers, emphasizing the enjoyment and camaraderie the tour promises.
The 13-date "Popstars: The Originals" tour will commence in April, with its opening show scheduled in Dublin. The tour will also include stops in Belfast and several major cities across Britain. Tickets for the tour are set to go on general sale starting at 9 a.m. on October 16.
