One of Scotland’s last remaining Wimpy restaurants, located in Dingwall, has been placed on the market after operating for three decades. The establishment, situated on the town’s High Street, is being offered for sale with an asking price of £159,000.
The diner and takeaway, which can seat 56 patrons, occupies two floors featuring ample food preparation areas and additional space on the upper level. Positioned prominently along the main street, the restaurant has become a popular destination not only for local residents but also for visitors to the Highlands seeking a nostalgic dining experience.
Daltons Business, the agency managing the sale, reported that the Wimpy generates an annual turnover of approximately £260,000. Despite this steady business, the owner has decided to sell the longstanding eatery.
Wimpy once boasted a widespread presence across Scotland, but today only two other branches remain in the country—located in Kilmarnock on Grange Street, and in Fraserburgh on Hanover Street, Aberdeenshire. The Dingwall location’s potential sale marks a notable shift for one of the region’s few surviving outlets of the iconic British fast-food chain.
