Hong Kong actor Bosco Wong attended the 2026 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix held from October 2 to 4 at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia, fulfilling a long-held ambition to watch a live F1 race and meet Spanish driver Fernando Alonso. Wong, 45, shared a selfie with Alonso, a two-time Formula 1 World Drivers’ Champion, on social media alongside multiple photos taken at the event, including images of himself near a race car by the pit lane.

Wong had previously announced his plans to attend the race in September, posting a photo of his F1 Paddock Club tickets, which were purchased with assistance from a friend. He described the experience as a must-have, stating that it was his first time watching Formula 1 in person. Reports indicate that Wong spent between RM22,500 (approximately S$7,050) and RM26,600 on the premium tickets, representing a five-figure expenditure.

The F1 Paddock Club is known for offering exclusive privileges to ticket holders. These include access to pit lane walks, allowing attendees to observe teams practicing pit stops, as well as guided tours of the track. Guests also benefit from hospitality suites located on the upper level of the main pit building, featuring air-conditioned seating and closer views of the racing circuit.

Bosco Wong is recognized for his passion for cars and motorsports. In a 2023 interview with Hong Kong media outlets, Wong disclosed ownership of eight vehicles, primarily vintage models, underscoring his long-standing interest in automotive culture.
