Three years after the passing of Datuk Munirah Abdul Hamid, founder of the Pertiwi Soup Kitchen, her humanitarian mission continues through a new collaboration aimed at supporting Kuala Lumpur’s homeless and urban poor. The initiative is driven by her son, Adlan Hercus, co-founder and CEO of Fev3r, a digital healthcare provider, which has partnered with Neuramatix, a regional technology and artificial intelligence firm, to deliver free medical and food assistance.

The monthly outreach takes place at Pusat Khidmat Gelandangan Medan Tuanku, located in the Chow Kit area, known for its sizable homeless population. Residents in need receive complimentary medical consultations, health check-ups, and medicines through Fev3r’s network of licensed Malaysian doctors. The program addresses a range of general healthcare needs and aims to improve the well-being of vulnerable individuals who often lack regular access to medical services.

Adlan Hercus highlighted the enduring impact of his mother’s work, noting, “She built a community of advocates who care deeply for those in need and that work must continue for the betterment and well-being of our communities.” He expressed gratitude toward Neuramatix for joining the effort to sustain and extend his mother’s legacy.

Munirah Abdul Hamid was widely recognized for her dedication to serving marginalized groups through Pertiwi, an organization she founded to assist disadvantaged populations. Her contributions brought attention to the challenges faced by the homeless and underprivileged in Malaysia’s urban centers.

In addition to healthcare support, the initiative recently distributed more than 800 food packs, reinforcing Pertiwi’s mission to provide free, nutritious meals to those in need.

This ongoing collaboration underscores a commitment by private sector entities to supplement government and nonprofit efforts addressing poverty and health disparities in Malaysia’s capital.
