Cray Valley secured their third victory of the season with a 3-0 win over Horley Town at The New Defence on Saturday. The opening half was largely uneventful, with both sides struggling to create clear chances in a tightly contested match.
The deadlock was broken shortly after the interval when Jack Kirby scored with a low shot that slipped past Horley goalkeeper Theo Bromley. Despite Horley Town’s attempts to respond, Cray Valley came close to extending their lead twice, only to be denied by the goalpost on both occasions.
Veteran striker Chris Dickson then made headlines by scoring his 300th career league goal, doubling the visitors’ advantage. Kirby completed the scoring just three minutes later, capitalizing on a one-on-one opportunity against Bromley to secure the victory for Cray Valley.
