Houthi forces launched a missile attack on the presidential palace in Aden, Yemen’s interim government capital, resulting in at least four fatalities and 10 injuries, according to Yemeni military officials. The attack occurred on October 15 and targeted the Al-Maashiq palace, which functions as the government’s main headquarters in the southern region of the country.

Yemeni Information Minister Muammar al-Eryani confirmed that the assault involved five missiles and emphasized that Prime Minister Shaya al-Zindani and other cabinet members were unharmed. A government minister, speaking on condition of anonymity, stated that the prime minister was present during the strike but was not injured.

The strike reflects ongoing tensions in Yemen’s fragmented political landscape, where the Houthi movement controls large parts of the north while the internationally recognized government operates from Aden and other southern areas. The attack on the presidential palace highlights the volatility and security challenges facing the interim administration amid efforts to consolidate control over the divided country.
