Ankita Jain Bhatia, a Dubai-based entrepreneur and recently crowned Mrs UAE World, credits the city for providing the freedom and opportunities that have propelled her career and personal growth. With a background in fashion and modelling that spans over two decades, Bhatia’s journey reflects her belief that ambition need not diminish after marriage or motherhood.

Originally from India, Bhatia’s interest in fashion began early. Before completing her Class 10 board exams, she participated in a photoshoot through a designer neighbour’s invitation and later joined Elite Modeling Agency. After relocating to the United Arab Emirates due to her husband’s career move, she continued to build on her modelling experience by mentoring aspiring models in Dubai rather than restarting her career from scratch.

Bhatia emphasized the importance of consistent effort in her professional journey, noting that she set daily goals and never allowed herself to pause. This persistence helped her not only uplift others entering the industry but also transition into competing on the international beauty pageant circuit. She described beauty pageants not merely as contests of appearance but as platforms that grant visibility, influence, and a voice, which she intends to use to advocate for women’s safety.

Growing up in Delhi, Bhatia highlighted the relative freedom she experiences in the UAE, citing the ability to move freely, even late at night, as a meaningful aspect of her empowerment. This personal experience informs her current focus on awareness campaigns and education initiatives addressing women’s safety—a cause she acknowledges will require sustained effort over time.

Bhatia also challenges the notion that women must choose between family life and career ambitions. She credits her husband’s unwavering support as a key factor in her success and stresses that married women can indeed “have it all.” Looking ahead, she is setting her sights beyond regional titles, aiming for recognition on an international stage, with Las Vegas mentioned as a future destination for competition.

Beyond personal achievements, Bhatia’s broader vision for her platform centers on creating opportunities for other women to find their voice and confidence. Her story underscores the role Dubai has played not just as a backdrop but as a catalyst in enabling her to shape a legacy focused on empowerment through tangible actions rather than symbolic gestures.
