A new art exhibition titled "HUBB – LOVE" by British contemporary artist Shahida Ahmed opened recently at Katara Cultural Village, offering a multifaceted exploration of love as a universal language. The event drew attendance from key cultural figures including Saif Saad al-Dosari, deputy general manager of Katara Cultural Village, alongside British ambassador Neerav Patel, Pakistan’s ambassador Muhammad Aamer, and several artists.

Ahmed, who is also a writer, podcast creator, and educator, centers her work on themes of language, identity, culture, and human connection. For this exhibition, she employs Arabic calligraphy as a primary artistic element to convey messages of love, peace, and unity. Her work is notable for bridging British and Arab cultural influences, reflecting contemporary British viewpoints through the lens of Arab visual traditions.

The exhibition features an array of hand-painted artworks, installations, and ceramics that engage with the concept of love from diverse perspectives. Ahmed describes her art as a universal dialogue aimed at fostering community connections and cross-cultural understanding.
