Huffines Communities has initiated construction on a 468-acre master-planned residential development in northern Celina, Texas, marking a significant addition to the rapidly growing city. The project, named Serenade, broke ground in late March and is designed to provide a variety of housing options alongside extensive community amenities.

Serenade will encompass approximately 1,000 home sites divided among five distinct villages. The initial phase is planned to release 543 lots, with availability expected to begin in the first quarter of 2027. Homes in the community will range in size from 1,800 to 4,500 square feet, with prices estimated between $400,000 and $900,000.

Located near North Preston Road and approximately eight minutes from downtown Celina, Serenade aims to appeal to residents seeking an active lifestyle paired with the conveniences of a master-planned neighborhood. The development will feature a variety of amenities, including a 16-acre stocked lake, dog park, playgrounds, an indoor clubhouse, pickleball courts, and an integrated trail system. Additionally, the site includes a 63-acre section designated for future expansion.

Don Huffines, founder of Huffines Communities, emphasized the project’s strategic importance given Celina’s status as one of the fastest-growing cities in North Texas. He noted that the community is designed to enhance the quality of life for residents while supporting the area’s continued growth.

Huffines Communities has a history of development activity in the region, with past projects including the community known as Windchime, which was sold to homebuilder D.R. Horton. The company’s ongoing involvement in Celina reflects its commitment to contributing to the city’s evolving housing market.

With its combination of substantial residential capacity and diverse amenities, Serenade is positioned to be a key development in the northern Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex area, addressing the demand for new housing in one of the region’s fastest expanding locales.
