Hull has been identified as the most affordable city in Britain for a typical night out, according to a recent study by ticket supplier Skiddle. The analysis, conducted in 2017, found that the combined cost of five drinks, a kebab, and a taxi journey home in Hull totaled £35.50. On average, drinks were priced at £21, a kebab cost approximately £7, and a cab ride home was £7.50.

London ranked as the most expensive city for a night out, with the same items totaling £70. This includes £45.50 for drinks, £8.50 for a kebab, and £16 for a taxi fare.

Following Hull, the study named Newport as the second cheapest city for nightlife, with a total cost of £42. Glasgow (£45), Sheffield (£46), and Coventry (£47) rounded out the next three most affordable cities. Other cities with notably higher costs included Brighton (£64) and Manchester (£58).

The data highlights the significant variations in nightlife expenses across Britain, reflecting factors such as local pricing and transportation costs. Hull, the UK City of Culture in 2017, stands out as an economical option for social outings compared to major urban centres.
