Anthony Williams, 33, pleaded not guilty to multiple charges related to a series of stabbing incidents during a hearing at Cambridge Crown Court on July 9. Williams faces 10 counts of attempted murder following an attack on a train traveling from Doncaster to London King’s Cross on November 1, 2025, as well as additional charges connected to attacks in the days leading up to and including that date.

The prosecution alleges that several passengers were stabbed aboard the LNER service shortly after it stopped at Peterborough. Williams is also charged with attempted murder for attacks on a 14-year-old boy and two men, aged 22 and 28, in Peterborough on October 31, 2025. Further charges include the attempted murder of a 17-year-old boy in East London in the early hours of November 1 and the stabbing of a passenger on the Docklands Light Railway in London later that day. Additionally, Williams is accused of assaulting a police officer following his arrest.

Williams, who is of no fixed address but has connections to Peterborough, appeared via video-link to enter his pleas. He denied all charges, including the alleged attacks dating from October 31 through November 1.

Following the hearing, Judge Mark Bishop remanded Williams in custody pending trial, which has been scheduled to begin on October 26, 2026. No further details were released at the court appearance, and the case remains under ongoing investigation.
