Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Fabian Hürzeler expressed optimism that forwards Georginio Rutter and Femi Azeez could be available for the club’s upcoming match against Coventry City on Sunday.

Rutter has been sidelined for the past three games with a foot injury but has recently resumed training. Hürzeler acknowledged a minor setback during Rutter’s recovery but indicated the player is close to returning to full fitness. “He definitely should be close,” Hürzeler said. “He had a small setback but he was on the [training] pitch now, so hopefully he’s available for the weekend if nothing goes wrong.”

Azeez, who joined Brighton from Millwall on the transfer deadline day, has yet to make his debut for the Seagulls. The winger missed last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Leeds United due to a minor hamstring issue. Hürzeler remains hopeful Azeez will be fit to feature against Coventry. “Also regarding him, I hope he will be an option,” the coach stated.

Brighton will be looking to strengthen their position in the league as they travel to face Coventry, with the potential return of both players offering additional attacking options for Hürzeler.
