Residents of Jeddah have reported that daily life in the city has continued largely unaffected despite ongoing regional tensions, expressing confidence in their safety and the stability of Saudi Arabia. Interviews with several locals and expatriates highlight a prevailing sense of calm and normalcy amid recent unsettling events in the region.

People in Jeddah described familiar sights such as busy roads, social gatherings, and residents commuting to work and college as unchanged. Saudi nationals and long-term expatriates alike emphasized their trust in the government’s efforts to maintain security and public safety. "Life in Jeddah is going on as usual, and everything feels calm and normal," said Saudi national Ahlam Alhindi, who added that she felt safe living in the city and appreciated the ability to continue daily routines without undue worry.

Others stressed the importance of relying on official sources for information rather than unverified reports on social media, which can contribute to unnecessary panic. Saudi national Rawan AlGhamdi encouraged residents to stay informed through government announcements, maintaining that there was no need for concern as security measures remained strong.

Saudi national Zeina AlFamouki reflected on the sense of safety as a valued aspect of life that residents often take for granted. This sentiment was echoed by long-term expatriates who have grown accustomed to life in the Kingdom’s coastal city. Egyptian national Fayez Ibrahim, who arrived in Saudi Arabia as a child, described maintaining his usual routine of work and visiting local markets. He expressed gratitude toward the country and confidence in its authorities, despite feeling sorrow over recent regional attacks.

Ahmad Nadeem, a Pakistani national raised in Jeddah, said he continued his studies and social activities without disruption. He noted that residents were still out enjoying time with friends and had full trust in the Kingdom’s ability to ensure safety.

While many residents acknowledged the sadness caused by attacks in Riyadh earlier this month, their accounts collectively underscored a widespread belief that the Saudi government is effectively managing security concerns. This trust is grounded in residents’ day-to-day experiences and the support provided during difficult times, contributing to a prevailing sense of stability within the city.
