The Indian Business & Professionals Council (IBPC) Qatar convened a special edition of its Monday Bites series on June 22, 2026, to mark the launch of its AI certification program and to underscore the ongoing strength of India-Qatar relations. The event drew business leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals, and emerging talent for an evening focused on leadership, innovation, and knowledge exchange.
The gathering was notably attended by HE Shri Vipul, Ambassador of India to Qatar and Patron of IBPC Qatar, who is approaching the conclusion of his diplomatic assignment in the country. The program opened with a minute of silence in remembrance of those who lost their lives in the recent Ras Laffan incident, with attendees offering condolences to the families and colleagues affected.
IBPC Qatar President Thaha Muhammed Abdul Kareem welcomed participants, emphasizing the importance of continuous learning, leadership development, innovation, and community engagement in today’s fast-evolving global landscape. He also acknowledged Ambassador Vipul’s steadfast support for the Indian community and his role in advancing bilateral ties during his tenure.
Monday Bites, one of IBPC Qatar’s flagship initiatives, serves as a platform for leadership dialogue and professional development by bringing together policymakers, industry experts, and business leaders to discuss emerging trends and challenges influencing the future of business and society.
During his address, Ambassador Vipul reflected on the significant advancements in India-Qatar relations over the past three years. He highlighted expanding cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, energy, technology, innovation, education, and people-to-people engagement, stressing the need for sustained collaboration to deepen this strategic partnership. An interactive session followed, allowing attendees to engage directly with the Ambassador and discuss the evolving bilateral relationship.
A key feature of the evening was the Monday Bites Signature Session titled “Build the BAT. Master the BAAP. Be the BATMAN. Attract What Others Chase,” presented by Abdul Kareem. The session encouraged participants to develop unique value propositions, capabilities, and sustainable competitive advantages rather than engaging in traditional competition. Drawing on practical frameworks and real-world examples, the presentation aimed to help professionals and organizations position themselves to attract new opportunities, partnerships, and talent.
The event also celebrated the completion of the inaugural IBPC AI Advantage Certification Program, held on June 13 and 20. Certificates of Participation were awarded to program graduates, marking an important milestone in IBPC Qatar’s efforts to equip professionals and business leaders with the skills needed to navigate the artificial intelligence era. The certification emphasized practical skills in areas including prompt engineering, AI-driven productivity, content creation, automation, strategic decision-making, and digital transformation.
This initiative aligns with IBPC Qatar’s broader mission to foster future-ready leadership capable of thriving in a technology-driven global economy. The evening concluded with a commemorative cake-cutting ceremony, symbolizing the successful collaboration between IBPC Qatar and the Indian Embassy, as well as heartfelt appreciation for Ambassador Vipul’s dedicated service and engagement with the Indian business community in Qatar.
As India and Qatar continue to expand partnerships across trade, technology, energy, and human capital development, IBPC Qatar’s initiatives underscore its commitment to strengthening both professional capabilities and bilateral ties between the two countries.
